Shirley decided to walk instead of driving her car to the weekly meeting of the Mt Pleasant Mah-Jong Group on this lovely spring day. On the way to the gathering in the Anglican Church she unexpectedly meets friends and stops to chat for a few minutes. We are still well in time when we walk into the church that has a breathtakingly beautiful interior with a view to the ocean and the shore. The ladies are assembling the Mah-Jong tables already and Shirley is clearly a very popular member. Shirley tells me she celebrated her 90th birthday in July and she has been playing the game in the group for sixty-five years. She is still in awe of the little colorful details of the Mah-Jong tiles.
