Ven. Nagasena Sraman is walking out of the market with two fellow monks (Ven. Dharma Rakkhit and Ven. Amrita Nanda) to catch their airplane back to Hongkong. Ven. Nagasena Sraman is a fully ordained Theravada Buddhist monk, originally from Bangladesh. He has studied in Sri Lanka and is currently a PhD student at the University of Hong Kong. He came to New Zealand to give a series of talks about meditation but also took time to have a look around some of the South Island and see snow for the first time. He joined his fellows in Riccarton for a pleasant walk to see some local culture before the main meal for the day is provided by locals. The meal will be before midday according to the practice requirement for monks of the Southern Buddhist tradition. Ven. Nagasena Sraman is looking forward to returning to New Zealand when he is invited to continue his teachings.
