Ana is smiling behind her stall at the Kids’ Market as she greets customers. Ana sells home-made cupcakes, biscuits and truffels that she’d been preparing until late last night. Sellers’ ages on the market range from four to twelve. Besides foodstuff they offer jewellery, toys and most importantly, hot drinks in the cold wind of the last days of the winter. Despite of the ever changing weather people turn up to check out what the kids have to offer and make sure they spend a couple of dollars at every stall. As families arrive to the site kids make friends in minutes and run about on the site made safe with an elevated vegetable garden. The market is on the last Sunday of each month and Ana looks forward to earning some pocket money with her efforts on the next market again.
