Anthony is on his knees engaged with his work in the sunny afternoon. He is clearing up the lawn around a young tree, while he is still waiting for the road workers to tidy up the rest of the front yard where they made a mess a few weeks ago. “I like gardening. The flowers are the boss’ responsibility – my wife, that is -, I have a vegetable garden in the back. It’s not ready though. Never plant anything before Labour Day my father thought me, because there always might be a late frost.”
