Mary is one of the many who enjoy the fresh air of the beach early in the afternoon. She came to have a walk in her lunch break, eating only an apple. “This is actually the first time. I normally don’t walk but run and bike. I recently had an operation and I’m no supposed to run for six weeks. So I thought I’d have a stroll on the beach instead.” Her one hour lunchbreak is nearly finished. Mary takes her steps towards the carpark protected by a wall of shipping containers from rockfalls off the cliff unsettled by the earthquakes.
