Valméne is pushing the stroller home with her little daughter after a sunny hour in the park. Valméne is from Tahiti, where she learned professional Tahiti Dancing. Valméne speaks Tahitian, French and English. She met her Fijian husband on college in Hawaii, who in turn took her to New Zealand for work. As he is a sportsman playing rugby all around the world, Valméne knows that future can bring anything. “We are here for a year now. What will we do later? We will see.” While we talk, her little girl seems to be another pink flower among the daisies and blossoming trees by the tranquil riverside.
