Moki is getting her weekly washing done at the laundry with her two daughters. The girls share a laugh with their mama, they don’t seem to mind that a job has to get done too. Moki works at PackNSave from 1am to 7am so she can spend the day with her family. Moki came to live in Christchurch a year ago but has lived in New Zealand since 2003. “I”m from Tuvalu. Have you heard of the country that’s sinking? Because of the climate change. The rising seas are taking over the island. This is why I came to New Zealand. My friends’ places are all gone, my parents are only staying because they work for the government. Only those people stay.”
