On a Satuday morning London Street transforms from a sleepy street to a tourist attraction with stalls, food vans, musicians, buskers and a cheerful crowd. It is the time for the Lyttelton market that over the years extended to the neighbouring streets and houses. Ongoing garage sales, vacant space markets, art galleries and stalls and private shops open to join the fun. Donna is enjoying looking at the people with a coffee in the company of her daughter, Emma and her husband. “We come down nearly every week for some vegetables and to enjoy the market atmosphere. My daughter and I we both like to cook and the vegetables are better quality here than in the supermarket. It is special to have Emma here because she is only here on a visit. She works and studies down South.”
